![]() This game will be just more Starcraft, but that is a good thing. I have played Starcraft 2 for a few hours offline and it is like playing Starcraft but with some upgrades to the game. Let it be said.the original Starcraft is my all-time favorite PC game, so this creates high expectations for the second game. ***Beware to those that purchase a used copy(see below) Great, but don't buy it used unless you have a valid CD Key! I really think Blizzard should stick with the DVD in machine requirement for this game to play, so once the original done playing he or she can sell the DVD to another owner to play without giving any personal information that come with a account. Some of the seller will included the two fre guest pass key code only, but each of those guest key code will only let you play for 7 hours(including single palyer mission only) th en it will lock you out and no further play is allowed till you buy another new key from Blizzard for $59 each. Unless the seller is willing to release his existing account to you along with the original DVD, then all you got is a DVD that can be installed, but you can not start to play. I wasn't told the DVD key code come with the used game can only used once to activate this game, in order to play this game even for single player mission you will need to set up a account and if the Key code come with the original DVD sleeve already been used(registered) then you can not set up another account with and without an activeed account, you can not even to start play this game at all. The collector's edition features a 176-page book on the game's art, a making-of DVD, a soundtrack CD, a comic book, exclusive downloadable content for online play, a Terran "Thor" pet for World of WarCraft characters, and a USB flash drive containing the original StarCraft and its Brood War expansion.Ä«uyer beware the DVD Key code can only activate once Wings of Liberty is released in two packages: a game-only version and a collector's edition. Wings of Liberty is the first of three planned StarCraft games, each offering a single-player campaign focused on one of the three races (all races are available for offline skirmishes or online competition). Also included in a built-in editor that lets players create custom maps with scripted events. Full stat-tracking is available, along with voice communication, Facebook integration, and cloud file storage. Online support for up to eight players is offered through Blizzard's service, allowing gamers of all skill levels to be matched together for competition in leagues, tournaments, and ladder matches. New troops, ships, and technology are included for each faction, as are an assortment of tweaks and upgrades to familiar faces. While the presentation has changed, Wings of Liberty's mechanics are similar in design to the original StarCraft, relying on the traditional real-time strategy framework of resource gathering, structure building, and unit generation. To help those new to the StarCraft universe, a number of mini-games are included to introduce key tactics and strategies. The single-player campaign focuses on the scrappy terrans, led by Jim Raynor, in a narrative spanning 29 missions. Once again the game features three rival factions: the gritty, gutty Terrans the slithering, swarming Zerg and the psionic, cybernetic Protoss. ![]() Twelve years after the original StarCraft "zerged" its way onto computers, Blizzard's sci-fi strategy game finally receives its sequel with Wings of Liberty. At the time of its release, StarCraft II became the fastest-selling real-time strategy game, with over three million copies sold worldwide in the first month. The game was criticized for lacking features that existed in the original StarCraft game including LAN play and the ability to switch between multiplayer regions. Similar to its predecessor, StarCraft II was praised for its engaging gameplay, as well as its introduction of new features and improved storytelling. The game was met with critical acclaim, receiving an aggregated score of 93% from Metacritic, and it has been cited as one of the greatest video games ever made. The game includes new and returning characters and locations from the original game. The game is set four years after the events of 1998's Brood War, and follows the exploits of Jim Raynor as he leads an insurgent group against the autocratic Terran Dominion. Wings of Liberty focuses on the Terrans, while the expansions, Heart of the Swarm and Legacy of the Void, would focus on the Zerg and Protoss, respectively. Like its predecessor, the game revolves around three species: the Terrans (humans), the Zerg (a super-species of assimilated life forms), and the Protoss (a technologically advanced species with vast psionic powers).
